Curating Global Southeast Asia Scholarly Resources : Challenges and Opportunities

Conférence  le lundi 25 novembre de 14h à 16h à la Maison de l’Asie, 22 avenue du Président Wilson, Paris 16 (salle de conférence, rez-de-chaussée).

For background introduction, Virginia Shih will start with her academic training and professional experience in curating international Southeast Asia collections and engaging in research and development and networking from a U.S. perspective. She will highlight and elaborate on major challenges and opportunities in meeting the research, teaching and learning needs of the global scholarly community. She will share her insightful experience and best practices of Southeast Asia curatorship using the University of California, Berkeley model to share her insightful experience and best practice. Last but not least, she will share her recommendations of global collaborative initiatives as the next steps of the future of effective Southeast Asia collecting stewardship at Berkeley
